While the past 20 months have been different for many brands, they have been especially unique for Alsta. We have had to restructure our release schedule due to supply chain issues, so the purpose of this entry is to give you an idea of the current pieces available, as well as the new pieces on the horizon.
The Nautoscaph IV
Our most recent installment in the famed Nautoscaph lineup is the IV.
While there are scores of features to extol about the Nautoscaph line — unique design, burly construction, seriously deep water resistance—it’s best represented by the Superautomatic as the watch Richard Dreyfuss wore in Jaws. Much like the Superautomatic, the Nautoscaph IV is a streamlined and stylish diver in stainless steel, with a black dial and sword-shaped lumed indices and hands for easy night-sight. Upgraded with modern-day materials like sapphire glass and a PVD-coated bezel, we brought this time-honored classic to the modern man’s wrist in style.
- Remastered adaptation of the original Nautoscaph Superautomatic, as worn by Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws
- Streamlined construction and classic dive style
- Stainless steel bracelet elevated with mixed brushed/polished finishes
- Indices and hands painted with a healthy dose of Super-LumiNova
- Anti-magnetic, shock-resistant, and water-resistant construction
The Motoscaphe 120
The Motoscaphe 120 is a collaborative piece between Alsta and Beyond The Dial. Allen Farmelo of BTD, an avid motorcyclist, watch enthusiast, writer, and podcast host worked with our very own Angus MacFadyen to design a motorcycling piece that’s every bit as functional as it is beautiful.
“I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to bring one of my imaginary watches – a dedicated motorcycling tool watch – out of my mind and onto wrists! The Alsta Motoscaphe 120 is a tribute to motorcycling, and not to motorcycles. It is designed and engineered for motorcycling, not to go with this or that bike. It’s the purpose-built motorcycling tool watch I’ve been longing for, a badass timepiece ready for all motorcycling adventures.”
— Allen Farmelo, Co-creator of the Motoscaphe and founder of Beyond The Dial.
